As worldwide lockdowns increase due to COVID-19 outbreaks, at Mathematic, we have implemented the following procedures to maintain our services :
We have reorganized workstations over our five sites in the aim to compartmentalize teams and limit risks to their health and safety.
50 artists and 20 Production Staff operating remotely
Employees that can work remotely use encrypted tools to access our network without compromising studio security, privacy rules and conserve our TPN standards.
5 flame artists and our colour artists set up and available for Livestream work sessions.
Managing current contracts
Although our LA office is currently closed due to travel restrictions, we are maintaining US contracts remotely via our French and Canadian studios.
Use of internal and external communication tools
Shotgun – Sharing and Project management between artists.
Discord – General communication to help with day to day management.
Zoom – External and Internal conf call systems with all staff
Egnyte FTP for previewing work on a secured platform and password protected.
5 producers and 12 supervisors are available to develop quotes, schedules, post treatments and advice for specific projects.
For creative content, we have a variety of talented directors and art directors available. We can develop interactive pitch documents, ideas, concept art, R&D style frames, tests and storyboards.
We understand the difficulties facing all of us over the next weeks and months, this is why we have reorganized our protocols so that we can continue working passionately as well as safely with all our partners. Today we are managing a range of large and small scale projects. As some of these projects finalise, we do have the capacity to work on new and exciting briefs.

Alors que le COVID-19 devient de plus en plus offensif en France et en Europe, nous mettons d’ores et déjà en place des procédures afin de maintenir l’activité de MATHEMATIC en France et au Canada. Le bureau de LA est pour le moment fermé, nous n’avons plus la possibilité de nous y rendre. L’ensemble des contrats américains sont gérés de France et du Canada, et en remote.
Nous sommes en mesure d’assumer nos contrats et prenons toutes les précautions nécessaires.
Dès la semaine prochaine, les salariés sensibles travailleront en télétravail et à distance par des protocoles cryptés leur permettant d’accéder à leur machine au studio sans compromettre les règles de sécurité et de confidentialité du studio et la norme TPN.
Les plateaux et les sites de travail ont été dé densifiés et réorganisés. Nous disposons ainsi de 4 sites à Paris et d’un à Montréal. Cela permet de cloisonner les risques et de les restreindre.
Dès le 23 mars, notre infrastructure sera en mesure de délocaliser beaucoup plus de salariés si cela s’avère nécessaire.
Dans le but de préserver nos équipes et l’intégrité du studio, donc notre « opérationnalité », à compter du lundi 16 mars, les accès seront strictement restreints aux salariés. Les présentations clients auront lieu par video conférence ou en remote, les modalités seront définies au préalable entre Mathematic et les clients du studio. Beaucoup de dispositifs sont d’ores et déjà en place chez Mathematic et fonctionnent pour les projets étrangers, nous les déployons désormais en France.
Nous n’avons d’autre choix que de nous organiser, respecter quelques règles et continuer à travailler avec passion les projets que l’on nous donne l’opportunité de gérer. Nous vous remercions pour votre compréhension, vos producteurs, post-producteurs et moi-même restons à votre disponibilité pour toute question.
De beaux projets sont en cours, d’autres viennent d’être signés, nous allons les gérer et les amener à bon port.

As COVID-19 becomes more and more offensive in France and in Europe, we are already implementing procedures to maintain MATHEMATIC’s activities in France and in Canada. The LA office is closed for the moment as travel restrictions mean we are no longer able to go there. All American contracts are managed in France and Canada, remotely.
We are able to assume our contracts and take all necessary precautions. Starting next week, employees can and will work remotely using encrypted protocols allowing them to access their machine in the studio without compromising studio security and privacy rules and the TPN standard.
The platforms and work sites have been densified and reorganized. We will therefore have 4 sites in Paris and one in Montreal. This will help to compartmentalize teams and to limit risks.
As of March 23, our infrastructure will be able to relocate many more employees if necessary.
In order to preserve our teams and the integrity of an operational studio, from Monday 16th of March, access will be strictly restricted to employees only. Client presentations will take place remotely via phone or video conference, the modalities will be defined beforehand between Mathematic and the studio’s clients. Many devices already being used by Mathematic on foreign projects will begin being used for French projects to limit contact.
We have no other choice but to organize ourselves, to respect a few rules and to continue to work with passion on the projects we have been given the opportunity to manage. Thank you for your understanding, our producers, post-producers and I remain at your disposal for any questions.
We are excited by the great projects that we have underway, and those that we will be starting. We will look forward to managing all of them and bringing them to a successful conclusion.
